The Intel Atom processor is yet more proof that Intel has rebounded from the horrible Pentium 4 and AMD is pretty much hosed. It’s essentially a Core 2 CPU for your phone. If that press release is more accurate reporting and less PR hype, this could be pretty awesome.

There is an absolute treasure trove of awesome talks on the TED site. My favorites: Project Orion, Larry Lessig on copywrite, and Will “SimCity” Wright. But there are dozens more worth watching. Clear your schedule.

I’ve been messing around with Hammer, the map editor for the Source engine, and I’ve got a decent chunk of a Portal map worked out. God, I love Portal. TF2 mapping is fun, too, but seriously, Portal.
